3rd Annual Philadelphia Environmental Film Festival

April 5, 2019 - April 7, 2019

the Philadelphia Environmental Film Festival is returning to the City of Brotherly Love for its 3rd year, the first weekend of April (April 5 – 7), at the Philadelphia Film Center in downtown Philadelphia. Boasting an international slate of 54 action-packed films, this year’s Festival features visually stunning content and documentary style journeys, bringing the planet to the City of Philadelphia through thought-provoking films to kick off Earth Month. The features and shorts cover a variety of topics spanning from illegal shark fin harvesting, Americans fighting climate change, a look at the U.S. energy grid and environmental racism. Attendees will get a chance to meet filmmakers, mingle with community conservationists, attend post-screening discussions, and immerse themselves in a Virtual Reality Experience called “MY AFRICA” that takes users on a 10-minute journey to Northern Kenya, where the futures of wildlife and people are intertwined.
