Solar Inspiration

October is our traditional Do It Yourself (DIY) monthly meeting at MAREA.  It is a meeting where our members and audience share their experiences and lessons learned from installing solar panels on their homes, composting, experimenting with hemp building blocks, electrifying their cars or other adventures in sustainable living.   We learn from each other. 

Behind the MAREA mission and driving it forward over the last 16 years was an individual who was constantly pursuing adventures in sustainable living.  He wasn’t doing it just for his own edification, he was also persuading others to pursue their own sustainable living adventures.  Bill touched and motivated so many people to pick up a tool or a career or a lifestyle.  As a result, many of us found ourselves pursuing paths we would not have expected and are now very grateful we did.  Bill Hennessy passed away at the beginning of this year, while still moving at full-speed forward.  This month we want to celebrate the sustainable living pursuits Bill inspired, facilitated, coached and taught the MAREA family and beyond.  Come to find your sustainable living tool, career or lifestyle in our October meeting, brought to you by Bill.
